Essaying a film director's role for the second time iin his career, actor Saswata Chatterjee says his role in Black Coffee doesn't bear any resemblance with Ritwik Ghatak.
"In Black Cofee I am not the celluloid avatar of Meghe Dhaka Tara director any more. How can you portray similar characters in two films?" the sleuth in 'Ebar Shabor' thriller said on the sets.
"This time my character has shades of similarity with Satyajit Ray in Black Coffee," Saswata felt.

Ray, who had a towering personality and a certain aura, was a master story teller and I am trying to portray all these traits. A far cry from the mercurial Ritwik who was a bohemian in a sense.
"Ray was more meticulous and I am lucky to get two such contrasting roles in my career," Saswata said in between shots.
Black Coffee, produced by Fire Bird Entertainment, has an enviable cast of Paoli Dam, Badshah Moitra, Shankar Chakraborty and Biswajit Chakrabort and is a relationship drama scripted and directed by Atanu Bose.
