Model Holly Madison has opened up about her much-publicised split from Playboy boss Hugh Hefner, saying she "had enough" of the life in Playboy mansion.

Madison, 35, who was in relationship with 89-year-old Hefner from 2001 to 2008, made the revelation on Oprah Winfrey's show, reported Us magazine.

"Hef and I started hitting kind of a rocky patch when it became clear that Bridget (Marquardt) and Kendra (Wilkinson) were leaving, they were moving on to new things. I just had enough and just realised all the delusions I'd been under and that this was no longer the life for me," she said.

Madison also said that Hefner tried to bribe her, as before leaving the mansion she found his will stating he had left USD 3 million in her name.

"It was very clear to me that he'd left that out for me to see, because he was hoping it would change my mind and get me to stay. But it just kinda disgusted me more than anything because all he can do is say, 'Oh, here, I'm gonna throw you some money to get you to stay.' It just grossed me out," the "Down the Rabbit Hole" author said.
