Ryan Phillippe, who has been candid about his battle with depression, said he does not regret talking openly about his mental health.
The 42-year-old actor said the more one discusses mental illness, chances are people will eventually be more comfortable talking about these issues out in the open, reported FemaleFirst.
"I have no shame. I was born with a certain issue that I have to struggle with, that I know millions of other people do, and all to varying degrees. To be open to talking about it, or acknowledging it, makes it a lot less taboo," Phillippe told Stellar magazine.
The "Cruel Intentions" star had opened up about his depression earlier this year, saying he had found stronger ways to deal with his mental health now than he had in his 20s and 30s.
