Singer Alicia Keys has been comfortable with her natural looks for around a year now and maintains that make-up is not important for her.

The 35-year-old singer recently dolled up for a magazine photo shoot, reports E! Online.

"I'm not a slave to make-up. I'm not a slave to not wearing make-up either. I get to choose at (any) given moment. That's my right," Alicia said.

She, however, appears sans make-up on 'Allure' magazine's cover, she opted to wear a bit of make-up for the inside photographs.

The singer told the magazine that it is her decision as a woman to wear or not to wear make-up.

"I am all about a woman's right to choose. I think a woman should do anything she wants as it relates to her face, her body, her health," she added.
