Actress Helen Mirren says she wants Steve McQueen's slavery drama '12 Years a Slave' to win the best picture Oscar.
The 68-year-old actress, who won best actress trophy in 2007 for her astonishing performance in 'The Queen', said the competition this year is quite tough, reported People magazine.
"I know who I want to win. In terms of film, I really want 12 Years a Slave to be recognised. I'm really hoping that happens. They're all such great movies this year. It's very tough competition, especially with the male actors," Mirren said.
"I mean, all of those performances were spectacular. When I had to vote, it was so hard to say one and not the other. They're all incredible," she added.
