India's first junior 'Master Chef' winner Sarthak Bhardwaj wants to pen a recipe book for youngsters.
The 12-year-old Dehradun boy, who runs a small food joint with his widowed mother, said his win will fulfil many of his dreams.
"I have never thought that I will win the show ever. As I have won the show, I want to write a cookery book which will have innovative and less fussy recipes for beginners. I also want to study hard and clear NDA (National Defence Academy) exams," Sarthak told PTI after winning the show.
Sarthak defeated Devender Singh and Sakshi Tripathi in the finale to win the title. He also took home Rs 22 lakh cash prize along with Rs one lakh from Kotak Bank and 22-carat gold coin from Amul.
Sarthak, who is known for his creative recipes, showed great culinary skills on the Star Plus show. In the finale, he prepared vegetarian 'Nargisi kofta'.
"I started cooking at the age of nine to help my mother to run the small food stall which she opened after my father died. But I never thought I will be able to present my culinary skills on TV.
"I was scared during my audition but when I got good comments from my judges then I gained confidence," said Sarthak, who loves to have junk food.
He was quite popular among the young girls too in the show who always wanted him in their teams and was often called 'kanhaiya' because of his popularity.
The reality show was judged by Chefs Vikas Khanna, Kunal Kapoor and Surjan Singh Jolly.
Actress Sonakshi Sinha made a special appearance to promote her upcoming movie 'Bullett Raja' on the show.
