Singer Robin Thicke says he was apprehensive that pop star Miley Cyrus's 2013 controversial MTV VMA performance, would not be racy enough for the viewers.

The 21-year-old singer's racy performance with Thicke, 36, during the 2013 MTV VMA's became the one of the most talked about topics of the year, reported Ace Showbiz.

Cyrus twerked and wailed her tongue while performing 'Blurred Lines' with Thicke.

"We had a great time. It's entertainment. I was actually afraid Miley's routine wasn't going to be racy enough. But people reacted," Thicke said.

The 'Magic' singer, who is married to Paula Patton, said she has always been supportive of him.

"Obviously, she's very excited. She's supported me from day one. Sometimes she rolls her eyes. Things (I say) get misconstrued in interviews and then debated. So some of it's pretty weird," he said.
