Newbie actress Shraddha Kapoor said she was keen on doing a romantic film and her wish came true with 'Aashiqui 2'.

"As a child I used to be crazy about love stories. It's something which was on my wish list," Shraddha told reporters here at the music launch of 'Aashiqui 2'.

Shraddha, 24, made her debut with 'Teen Patti' which failed to garner attention at the box office. Her next film was 'Luv Ka The End', a young romantic film.

Now, she will be seen as the leading lady in Mohit Suri's 'Aashiqui 2'.

Aditya Roy Kapur, who is doing the lead role in the film, has previously worked as a supporting actor in films like 'Action Replayy', 'Guzaarish' and others.

It will be for the first time that Aditya will be seen in a lead role.

"It is not that I had planned to do a romantic film as a lead hero. I think it is impossible to plan your career. I react to what I like. I like the people I will be working with," Aditya said.

'Aashiqui 2' is the second instalment of 1990 romantic hit film 'Aashiqui'. The film will release on April 26.
