Kate Beckinsale has revealed she was criticised early on in her acting career for not having much "edge" because of her background in independent British films.
The 43-year-old "Love & Friendship" star began her acting career in independent British films and said that had an effect on how people perceived her, reported Screen Daily.
"I started in independent British filmmaking. When I began working outside of England, what I kept running into was, 'She's very British and delicate, she doesn't have much edge'," Beckinsale said.
