I will not join hands with either Congress or BJP: Nautiyal

Former AAP leader Anoop Nautiyal, who is to contest from Cantt seat in Dehradun as an Independent today filed an affidavit in a local court, saying he will not join hands either Congress or BJP after the Uttarakhand Assembly elections.

"I take the pledge not to join hands with parties like the BJP and Congress after the elections.

"I shall leave no stone unturned to raise people's problems in the state assembly as a member so that their resolution is found," he said in the affidavit addressed to the people of the state.

Assuring people that his fight against corruption will continue, he said, he will keep making efforts to bring the corrupt to book so that people of the state get their due without much ado.
 

Asserting that he had not come into politics for power and prestige, Nautiyal said he will work for the people of Cantt area so as to bring about a basic change in their lives.

Nautiyal had fought the last Lok Sabha polls from Tehri in Uttarakhand as an Aam Aadmi Party candidate.

Independents in Uttarakhand have had a history of joining hands with the party which is in position to form govt.
