Yesterday Parida's Rajasthan teammate Aakash Chopra had decided to join Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming domestic season and according to the RCA inside sources it was the infighting and pressure from district associations which forced his exit.
The insider also said that all the three professionals -- Chopra, Hrishikesh Kanitkar and Parida -- were unwilling to continue playing for Rajasthan after change in RCA regime. They had reluctantly agreed and performed to help Rajasthan emerge champions again.
"There has been some talks but it is up to Rajasthan Cricket Association to decide whether they want to continue with me," Parida, who has scored 7427 runs in first class cricket at an average of 45.56 and with a highest score of 220, told PTI.
"I feel I had gone through tough times but worked hard to come out of my back problem. I had suffered slip disk and hard work made me fit enough to play again. I'm happy that I could contribute to Rajasthan's back-to-back Ranji Trophy triumphs," he added.
Parida said that Rajasthan would miss the former India opener Chopra.
"We would certainly miss him. The previous two years have like a dream run and we have won Ranji trophy twice. There was healthy atmosphere in dressing room and that made us perform better," said Parida.
