IAF chief Arup Raha today embarked on a four-day visit to the UK where he will discuss ways to further improve defence cooperation between the two countries.

"During the visit the Chief would be calling on Philip Dunne, Under Secretary of State and Minister of Defence Equipment Support and Technology to discuss bilateral issues on the ongoing defence cooperation between the two sides," an IAF release said.

Raha would also be visiting the Royal Air Force valley where he would be briefed on the training facilities of the HAWK aircraft with an interaction with students.

"A visit to RAF Brize Norton is also planned where he would be on a guided tour to Voyager hub and the Voyager Academy where training of crew and support staff takes place. The Chief would then be briefed on the C-130 and C-17 current operations in the UK," the release said.

This is Raha's first visit to the UK after taking over as the Chief of Air Staff.
