An Indian Air Force 'Chetak' helicopter today made an emergency landing at a village in Morigaon district due to a technical snag.

According to Lt Col Sombit Ghosh of the IAF, the chopper was enroute to Jorhat air base from Shillong Air Force station when it developed a technical snag and made an emergency landing at a paddy field at Jaluguti village.

Both pilots in the chopper were safe, he said.

Later, another helicopter came from Tezpur and repaired the "minor" problem.

Both the choppers flew back to the Indian Air Force base in Tezpur after about two hours.
