An Indian Air Force Mi-17 helicopter deputed for the Mysuru Dasara festivities made a precautionary landing near Mandya on Wednesday following a technical problem, defence sources said.
Police said the aircraft was said to be flying to Mysuru to participate in the Dasara celebrations, and it landed near Srirangapatna in Mandya.
No casualties or injuries have occurred to the crew.
"The crew of a Mi-17 helicopter deputed for the Mysore Dasara, noticed technical snag.As per standard operating procedures they have done a precautionary landing.
Rectification party will come and rectify the snag," Defence PRO said in a statement, following the incident.
