IAF's UAV crashes in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Air Force crashed in an open field past midnight after its engine failed near the airport here.

"A pilot less remote controlled model crashed at around 1 am today due to engine failure," Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha said today.

Air Force officils have begun an investigation.

"Air Force officials are at the spot for carrying out their probe," the official said.

There was no loss of life or damage to property.

No loss to human life or property has been reported in the incident, SHO local police station Jetharam said.

"Hearing sound of the crash, locals informed the police following which a team was rushed to the spot. Air force officials have reached the spot to carry out investigation," he said.
