In support of action against climate change, Air Force installations across the country will switch off all non-essential lights for one hour tomorrow to mark the Earth Hour.

The ninth edition of the annual event would be observed by the IAF from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm tomorrow under which all non-essential lights at the headquarters and stations will be switched off.

The IAF has also urged all personnel and family to participate in this global event.

WWF is the parent organisation of the Earth Hour and started it with teams and partners in Australia back in 2007 as a lights-off event in Sydney.

Since then, it has grown to engage more than 7,000 cities and towns worldwide.
