The scientist, Dr Vinod, who is currently posted in New Delhi, had allegedly taken a cheque of Rs 10 lakh from the youth, Nitin Yadav, who is the son of a retired agriculture scientist, in 2010 promising him a job.

However, when Nitin was not provided any job even after two years, he asked the scientist to refund the money, but the latter refused, following which he filed an FIR against him in Daraula police station, police said.
