District Magistrate North-West Delhi Sanjay Goel alleged that the attack was led by a man identified as Parminder and that the entire incident was caught on CCTV camera installed in his office.

"At around 11:45 AM, around 70 men barged into my office in Kanjhawala area. They threatened me and assaulted me. They held me hostage for 20-25 minutes. The man who was heading the mob identified himself as Parminder and said he was secretary of BJP MP Udit Raj," Goel alleged.
