Senior bureaucrat Ambuj Sharma was today appointed Secretary-General, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
Sharma is a 1983 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his appointment to the post, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
