IAS officer V K Singh takes charge as Punjab's CEO

Senior IAS officer V K Singh today assumed the charge of Punjab's Chief Electoral Officer.

Earlier, the state government had issued a notification with regard to appointment of Singh as CEO, Punjab, an official spokesman said here.

Singh belongs to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) batch of 1990. He was earlier posted as Finance Secretary in Chandigarh administration prior to this appointment.

The post was lying vacant since last year and the charge was being held by Additional CEO Raminder Singh.
