In a statement released here, IBF President Man Jit Singh said "Tewari's appointment comes at a time when the broadcast sector is on the threshold of a new era and the I&B ministry is playing a pivotal role in broadcasting sector by ushering in the digitisation process in the four metros."
Singh said he believed that Tewari, like his predecessor Ambika Soni, would continue to support the broadcasters
