Ibis hotels opens in Coimbatore

AccorHotels and InterGlobe Hotels today announced the opening of Ibis Coimbatore City Centre here, aimed at drawing business travellers as well as tourists.

The Rs 58 crore 129-room facility boasts of a contemporary design that offers comfort and convenience to match the Ibis' promise of providing 'well-being at the best price,' InterGlobe Hotels vice-president (Development and Asset Management) Shwetank Singh, told reporters here.

There were plans to open six more hotels, making 21 operational by 2021 having a total of 3,800 rooms with an investment of Rs 800 crore, Singh said adding that for the 15 facilities the company had already invested Rs 1,500 crore.
 

Of the hotels planned, three would be in Mumbai, one in Pune, one in Bengaluru and another in Kolkata, Singh said.
