ICAI to participate in World Congress of Accountants

The country's apex body of chartered accountants ICAI will be participating in the world congress of accountants to be held in Italy next week.

The World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) is scheduled to be in Rome, Italy, from November 10-13.

Around 4,000 professionals from more than 100 countries, including India, are expected to participate in the event. It would be held under the auspices of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) President K Raghu in a statement said the congress would provide an extraordinary opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from all across the world on crucial issues affecting CA profession.
 

ICAI is one of the world's largest accounting bodies.

Raghu would be giving an address on 'Facilitating credit in the SME marketplace' in the Indian perspective.

ICAI's initiatives related to empowerment of women members and infrastructural support to students are expected to be showcased at the event. These programmes are 'Flexi Working Portal for Women Members' and 'Reading Rooms'.
