The company manufactures two licensed light weights agricultural implements -- Cono-weeder and the Adjustable Row Marker -- developed by the institute.
The cono-weeder is used for weeding in wetland paddy fields while the adjustable row marker is used for making rows before sowing, officials said.
According to the scientists at the ICAR, these implements are light weight, easy to use and easy to manufacture and are in high demand among the hills farmers of north-east.
ICAR director S V Ngachan said they are making constant efforts to license technologies to entrepreneurs from north-east so that both industry and farmers are benefited.
The institute proposes to organise a meet with industries in the month of October, he said.
