ICCR regional office inaugurated

Establishment of the 18th ICCR centre here would promote cultural activities and pave the way for talents from Bihar, particularly artistes, to play an important role, he told the programme.

"I personally and the Bihar government as a whole are ready to extend all help to make the centre here fully developed and strong," he said and thanked the ICCR chairman and MP Karan Singh for his initiative to have the council's regional office in Patna.

He said Nalanda International University and Bihar government would jointly organise a three-day international seminar to remind the old history and culture of Bihar.

 

Chief Minister released a magazine of the state Art and Culture department titled 'Patna Club' on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion. Chief guest Karan Singh said India has been a super power from the cultural point of view and impact of Hindu and Buddhist religion is visible in Asian countries.

Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, state Art and Culture minister Sukhda Pandey and ICCR general manager Suresh Kumar Goel also spoke on the occasion.
