ICICI Bank today said over half of its 4,000 branches will be open for general business tomorrow, a public holiday on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
"Our branches will remain open and will operate as per regular business hours on April 2, except for branches in Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh," the country's largest private lender said in a statement.
A senior official from ICICI Bank, which inaugurated its 4,000th branch yesterday, said the States and Union Territories where branches will operate, account for over half of its network.

Banking operations have been affected this week by closing of accounts for the fiscal ending (on April 1), which is immediately followed by a long weekend on account of Mahavir Jayanti (April 2) and Good Friday (April 3).
Cheques deposited tomorrow will be sent for clearing on the next working day, but customers can do other transactions like fund transfers, deposits and cash withdrawal.
Other banks like State Bank of India have decided to keep their branches open for additional two hours on April 4 (Saturday which is usually a half working day) to take care of customer rush.
