ICICI Bank to seek nod for MK Sharma as Non-Executive Chairman

Country's largest private sector lender ICICI Bank today said it would seek shareholders' approval for appointing M K Sharma as Non-Executive Chairman.

The decision to this effect was taken in a board meeting held today, ICICI Bank said in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.

Besides, the board also approved the proposal for seeking consent of shareholders for appointment of Vishakha Mulye as a wholetime director effective January 19, 2016 up to January 18, 2019 being the term approved by RBI, it said.

Sharma, a former Vice Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Limited, is an independent director of several leading companies and has been a member of government committees relating to corporate law and corporate governance.
