Jails with extra space may soon be home to cow shelters in Haryana with the Manohar Lal Khattar government considering a proposal in this regard.

"This is to enable the inmates to work in gaushalas and earn money," the Chief Minister said after presiding over monthly review meeting of the District Grievances Redressal Committee in Gurugram late last evening.

Khattar said the state government would frame rules under the Real Estate Regulatory Act being made by the Central Government to resolve the issues between builders and consumers, according to an official release.

On the issues related to cooperative housing societies, the Chief Minister directed the district administration, Gurugram, to prepare a list of all cooperative housing societies and promptly redress their grievances.

Names of members of all societies should be uploaded to enable the people check the list as and when required, he said.
