Singer Idina Menzel will perform the National Anthem while musician John Legend will sing 'America the Beautiful' as a part of Super Bowl XLIX pregame festivities next month.

Both the artistes will perform at University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on February 1, a day ahead of the kick-off, reported Rolling Stone.

"It was 1991 and I remember it well: Whitney sings the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Almost as glorious as her voice was her huge radiant smile. I am so humbled and honoured to be asked this year," Menzel, 43, said.

Legend has not commented yet, but his wife Chrissy Teigen retweeted NFL.Com reporter Jeff Darlington's tweet that read, "And the very smooth John Legend of ChrissyTeigen fame will be singing 'America the Beautiful' at Super Bowl. Almost to the two-week countdown!"

Legend, 36, has been nominated in the original song category with rapper Common for their number 'Glory' from historical drama film 'Selma' at the 87th Academy Awards.

Menzel and Legend join halftime performer Katy Perry and her special guest Lenny Kravitz, as the artists representing the music world at this year's Super Bowl.
