Idols of Lord Ram and Sita and 11 silver canopies were stolen from the historical temple of Paikoli Mahraj in Bhaluani police station area here, police said.
The idols, made from mixed metals, said to be worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from the temple by unidentified thieves last night, PRO of the Superintendent of Police, Jawaharlal Gupta said.
A case has been registered and efforts were on to nab the culprits, he added.
