Actor Idris Elba says the thought of failing makes him worried but he prefers not to let the feeling overpower him and is in continues fight with the fear.

The 43-year-old "Pacific Rim" star says he does not respect those feeling of fear which help him stay secure, reported Female First.

"Fear is an interesting one for me. I think it's definitely part of what goes on inside my head. I battle it. I don't respect fear. I don't mean that in an arrogant way, but I am self-aware, and that's how I deal with it," Elba said.

The "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" actor said he has become more "responsible" as an artist after playing leading roles in the films, but misses being a part of an ensemble.

"With growth comes a lot of responsibility. I think one of the tougher things when you go from being a supporting actor to a leading actor is that your process is slightly different.

"You find yourself on your own quite a bit, and when you're used to an ensemble, that can be a little unsettling. But you're given a lot more freedom to create in that space, and that's a gift for any actor. That freedom is why I love what I do.
