Unidentified persons today exploded an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Imphal town of Manipur.
The explosion was triggered by the unidentified people at Kakwa Naorem Leikai locality at 9.40 am today, as the state gears up for Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday.
No casualty was reported in the explosion, a senior police officer said.
Today's blast was preceded by another IED explosion in the Indo-Myanmar border town of Moreh yesterday.
