IEEMA, electrical equipment makers' apex body, today said it has formed a tie-up with the Institution of Engineering and Technology Services (IET) to facilitate exchange of technical information.
The tie-up would cover joint events and activities, dissemination of knowledge, and efforts to improve the state of engineering education in India, a statement said.
"We believe this agreement will promote co-operation and understanding between the two organisations and will go a long way in furthering technology awareness among the general public and students of engineering," IET India Director and Country Head Shekhar Sanyal said.
