"If necessary, definitely I will talk to her," Mukherjee said when asked whether he would talk to Banerjee seeking her support to his presidential candidature during his stay in the city.

Mukherjee said "right now, there was no such possibility."

Banerjee has opposed Mukherjee's candidature and had instead proposed A P J Abdul Kalam's name for the top post but he opted out of the race.

Mukherjee was talking to a TV channel on his return from Miriti where he visited his ancestral house and family members during the day.

Mukherjee is scheduled to visit the Belur Math, the global headquarters of the Ramkrishna Math and Mission and meet West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan tomorrow.
