AAP leader Bhagwant Mann, who has been declared party candidate from Jalalabad seat against Sukhbir Singh Badal, today said if the Deputy Chief Minister files nominations from another constituency, he would contest from there also.

Addressing a rally here, the Sangrur MP claimed that "sensing defeat" from Jalalabad Sukhbir could file nomination from another seat also at the last moment on the final day of filing the papers.

He said he too would make all out efforts to file his papers from that second seat too.

He said his party is people's "only saviour" against the "excesses" of ruling SAD-BJP alliance in Punjab.

He said that AAP on assuming power would put behind bars all "wrong-doers" in ruling dispensation in the state following due process of law.

He mixed the comic with the serious in his trademark manner to allure voters from all sections of the society.

Mann also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his "ill-conceived" demonetisation decision which has "resulted in myriad miseries" to the common man.

He condemned the shoe-hurling incident on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at Lambi but asked the SAD leadership to introspect as to why the very people who had chosen them to govern are so angry and annoyed.

In a lighter vein, he said that on coming to power, he would ask the state government to declare February 4, the date of polling in the state, a public holiday as the day would symbolise "freedom from all kinds of atrocities let loose on them" by the present government.
