The 48th edition of the International Film Festival of India is set to celebrate James Bond, with a special section dedicated to the legendary British spy, festival director Sunit Tandon said.
The segment titled 'Bond Retrospective', will screen films from the action packed series, created in 1953 by writer Ian Fleming, from 1960, right up to 2012.
It will feature films like - "Dr No" (1962), "Goldfinger" (1964), "Golden Eye" (1995), "The World is Not Enough" (1999), "License to Kill" (1989), "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977), "Octopussy" (1983), "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (1969) and "Skyfall" (2012).
"It is a first of its kind section at any film festival in the country, perhaps worldwide. The idea behind this was to be able to celebrate this highly popular franchise, tracing it through the years," Tandon said in a statement.
