The upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will feature some programs where students from film schools will be able to meet and talk to internationally renowned directors.

Special workshops would be organised where film school students will get the chance to interact with filmmakers and others, said actor Nitish Bharadwaj, who is on the steering committee of IFFI 2014.

Goa was recently announced as the permanent venue for the IFFI. This year the festival would be held from November 20 to 30.

Bharadwaj said there have been a conscious effort to ensure that film personalities from regional cinema, Bollywood as well as the international cinema attend the festival.

China would be 'the focus country' for the festival. Also, many filmmakers from South Asia will be attending the festival.

Asked about reports that megastar Amitabh Bachchan would be inaugurating the festival, he said the decision on this would be taken by the Directorate of Film Festival (DFF).
