The International Film Festival of India will pay tribute to polish filmmaker Krzysztof Kieslowski with a poster exhibition, showcasing the rich trajectory of films by the director.

"The exhibition will showcase the posters of Kieslowski's movies. This is in addition to the retrospective of his films planned during the festival," Director of Film Festival Shankar Mohan told PTI today.

The exhibition is curated by Film Museum in Lodz (Poland) and consists of 45 film posters featuring some of Kieslowski's most critically lauded films, made between 1976 and 1994, he said.

The posters, designed by renowned artists like Andrzej Pagowski, Jakub Erol and Andrzej Krauze, are the major highlights of the selection. They are a combination of both graphic and photographic poster styles, Mohan said.

The exhibition also includes Andrzej Pagowski's award winning poster of the 1979 drama 'Camera Buff'.

The exhibition will present posters designed in various languages other than English, including Polish, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Dutch, Czech, German, French, Russian and Hungarian.

The retrospective of Kieslowski's films at the festival marks the 25th anniversary of the premier of his cult-classic series 'The Decalogue'.
