A meeting to review the law and order situation in Ghaziabad as well as pendency of cases of cyber crimes, ATM fraud and other offences was held under the chairmanship of IG Ram Krishna Swarankar.
The progress made in the investigations in the alleged fake electricity bill payment scam of UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) was also analysed, Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Ram Abhilash Tripathi said.
Taking a serious note of attacks on police personnel, the IG said serious action needs to be initiated in the matter.
The review meeting was attended by district police chief Dharmendra Singh besides other senior police officials.
