IIFL Special Opportunities Fund-Series 2, has garnered a commitment of around USD 216 million.
The fund was launched in May as a follow-up after the success of IIFL Special Opportunities Fund that raised~USD 250 million.
IIFL Special Opportunities Fund-Series 2 is a close-ended scheme under Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). The fund seeks to generate long-term capital appreciation through investment in equity and equity-related instruments of to-be listed companies.

Small finance bank, Equitas Bank, today said it has introduced a facility for customers to avail FASTag, an RFID sticker, for their vehicles.
FASTag is a reloadable tag which enables automatic deduction of toll charges and lets the driver pass through the toll plaza without stopping for the cash transaction.

The budget hotel chain from the house of TATA, Ginger Hotels has opened its second property in Mumbai.
"We are proud to expand our presence in the commercial capital of India with the opening of Ginger Mumbai - Andheri East, our second hotel in Mumbai. We assure travellers of a consistently pleasant experience across our 42 properties in 30 locations around the nation," Ginger Hotels Managing Director and CEO Rahul Pandit said in a release.
With 142 rooms, Ginger provides safety, cleanliness, a relaxing sleep experience, an invigorating shower experience, a hearty breakfast and seamless Wi-Fi.
The first Ginger property in Mumbai has 116 rooms taking the total keys to 258.
Ginger Hotels operates 42 properties in 30 locations across the country.
