The Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta (IIM-C) has received healthy pre-placement offers for final placements of its 2014 batch.
The country's leading B-school in a statement said 78 students have received offers, a jump of 34 per cent over the previous year.
Of the total 78 offers, 58 were pre-placement offers (PPO) and 20 were pre-placement interviews (PPI).

Management consulting firms yet again led the way in terms of total number of offers made to the candidates.
The top four consulting firms - Mckinsey, BCG, Bain and A T Kearney gave 24 offers.
The General Management domain also saw PPOs from highly coveted firms such as Tata Administrative Services (TAS), the Aditya Birla Group, Philips, Pepsi, Bosch, Nestle, Shell, Vodafone, and iNautix, the statement said.
"Companies seem to be realising the importance of summer internship program and are hiring more through the PPO route. The current figures show an improvement in the economic situation as well as the profiles of the students at IIM-Calcutta," placement chairperson of IIM-C professor Rajiv Kumar said.
