Prestigious B-school Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has been ranked 19th by the FT Global Rankings above the London School of Economics and Manchester Business School for its management programmes.

Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIMC) participated in the Financial Times (FT) Global Rankings survey for Masters in Management programs, for the first time this year.

"We are overwhelmed to learn that in its very first outing, IIM Calcutta was ranked within the Top 20 management programmes in The World (ranked 19th)."

"It was even more heartening that IIM Calcutta was ranked higher than world-renowned institutions like the London School of Economics, Aalto University, Manchester Business School and quite a few others," the institute said in a statement today.

IIMC and IIM Ahmedabad were the only two institutions from India to feature in this ranking.
