IIT-Jodhpur will host the ninth 'National Frontiers of Engineering Symposium' which will discuss imminent challenges in the fields of arid zone technologies, critical technologies, healthcare and automotive technologies.
Convener of the symposium Arun Kumar Singh said the three-day event will begin on June 5.
"The format of the symposium is such that it encourages informal collective as well as one-on-one discussions among the participants," IIT Jodhpur Director CVR Murti said.

About 40 engineers in the age group of 25-45 years from different technology institutions, research organisations and corporate sector will participate in this symposium.
"A white paper will be drafted in next two months based upon the outcome of this symposium, which will be submitted to the INAE," Murti said, adding this will help the government on policy decisions on technological challenges.
The symposium will also include a panel discussion on "how to increase engagement of IITs in National Technology Missions" by focusing on eco-system problems and suggestive policy changes required.
