IITF: KVIC, SBI set up 200 debit, credit card swipe machines

Khadi and Village Industries Commission, in association with SBI, has set up 200 debit and credit card swipe machines in its pavilion at India International Trade Fair (IITF) to ensure-hassle free shopping to consumers.

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is participating in the 14-day fair, which started today.

"Due to demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, KVIC in association with SBI, has set up 200 debit and credit card swipe machines in the pavilion," VK Saxena, chairman of KVIC, said in a statement.

He also said that 200 khadi institutions from across the country are participating in the exhibition.
 

"Looking at the current situation in Jammu & Kashmir, overriding priority has been given to the institutions of that state. Overall, 38 khadi institutions from J&K have been given space in the pavilion which is highest-ever for any state," the statement added.
