A team from IIT Kharagpur got the first runners' up honour for its work on sleep disorder at the Texas Instruments India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2016.
The IITKGP team got the runners up honour for their innovative work on tracking sleep disorder, a press release said today.
"It seems all the more exciting to know that we competed among the best minds in the country and we were chosen by eminent jury members as the winning idea," one of IITKGP team members Laxmi Kant Tiwari said today.

The second runner up is from Dream Institute of Technology, West Bengal for their innovative solution on safety ensuring wearable.
Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology College, Coimbatore bagged the Chairman's Award for the best innovative product for the Texas Instruments India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2016 announced at the grand finale held at IIM-B.
In the 10-month long challenge, the participants saw an intense mentoring programme from IIMB and TI.
The 2016 TI challenge contest saw participation from 11,000 engineering students across 624 colleges in India, in collaboration with Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and Department of Science and Technology (DST)
Close on the heels of the result for 2016 contest, Texas Instruments India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC) 2017 is now open for registration.
