IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company today said it has bagged Rs 190.88 crore project from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (MVVNL) for rural electrification works in Uttar Pradesh.
The company "has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from...MVVNL for rural electrification (RE) works in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on a turnkey basis under Government of India scheme of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) Phase-II", IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company said in a statement.
The completion period for the project is 24 months, it said.

"As part of this Scheme, 1961 villages of Shahjahanpur district will be electrified and that will result in provision of 39,880 nos of services connections to Below Poverty Line (BPL) card holders," it added.
The project is funded by Rural Electrification Corporation under its eleventh programme, it said.
The company is currently executing rural electrification works for Paschimanchal Vidhyut Vitran Nigam Ltd and Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd in Uttar Pradesh.
It is also executing RE works for West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd for 3,000 villages.
