IL&FS Transportation gets nod to operate 16th border checkpost

IL&FS Transportation Networks Ltd today said its subsidiary has been issued provisional completion certificate to commercially operate one more checkpost with effect from July 20.

"MP Border Checkpost Development Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the Company, which had been mandated the development of 24 border checkposts by the MP Road Development Corporation Ltd has been issued provisional completion certificate to commercially operate one more checkpost namely, Sagar Lalitpur border checkpost with effect from July 20, 2015," IL&FS Transportation Networks said in a BSE filing.

The company said this is in addition to the existing two central control facility (CCF Gwalior and CCF Indore) and 15 border checkposts already in operation.
 

These include Agra-Mumbai, Indore-Ahmedabad, Shivpuri- Kota, Betul-Nagpur, Indore-Icchapur, Mhow-Neemuch, Jabalpur- Jaipur, Seoni-Nagpur, Chindwara-Nagpur, Kabir-chabutra, Sagar- Kanpur, Ujjain-Jhalawar, Sendhwa-Khetiya and Venkatnagar and Naugaon-Jhansi.

Provisional completion certificate has already been issued for these 15 checkposts and are under commercial operations as of date.

"The project is fee based with a concession period of 12 1/2 years," IL&FS Transportation Networks added.

The company's shares were trading 0.20 per cent down at Rs 149 apiece in the morning trade on BSE.
