An illegal gun making unit operating from a home in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district has been busted, police said today.
One person, Ashu, was arrested in the raid that took place in Jolla village yesterday and led to six pistols and 12 half-made pistols being seized, said Circle Officer B B Chourasia of the Budhana Police Station.
A large amount of cartridges was also found, he added.
The unit was operating from the home of Mehtab who is absconding, he said.
