Police Monday busted a call centre operating illegally here in Maharashtra and arrested one person, an official said
Assistant Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni said one person was arrested in connection with the fake call centre.
Offences were registered against him under relevant sections of the Indian Telegraph Act with the Kashimira police station, he said.
The call centre was operating from a commercial facility in the MIDC area, the officer said.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of officials of the district rural police along with IT experts raided the commercial facility and unearthed the call centre operating in violation of regulations, he said.
Kulkarni said the call centre was using banned or restrained softwares.
