Haryana police has arrested 33 persons, including those operating casinos and those gambling, from Gurgaon and recovered about Rs 1.77 lakh in cash from their possession, it said today.
Stating this here, a spokesman of the department said the police had received a tip-off that casinos were being run without any license or permit at various places in Gurgaon city and hundreds of people were indulging in the illegal activity.
Police teams raided various places and arrested those operating the casinos and those gambling there, he added.
Computers used for gambling were also recovered and cases registered against all the 33 accused, the spokesman said.
